What we are looking for:

We are looking for our next team member who wants to contribute to making a difference for students in Pinellas County. Our mission only happens when we have great talent working collaboratively. The Development Manager position is responsible for fundraising goals with managing a donor portfolio of individuals, corporations, organizations and foundations. The Development Manager is an ambassador of and advocate for the Foundation and its mission within the community.

This is a full time, exempt position.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate as a key member of the Development team in planning fundraising strategies and developing procedures for meeting the department’s objectives
  • Cultivate, solicit and steward a portfolio of annual donors of individuals, corporations, organizations and foundations
  • Build relationships to retain, renew and upgrade current donors
  • Identify potential new donors and sponsors through research and networking
  • Maintain records of cultivation, solicitation and stewardship in Raiser’s Edge
  • Draft and prepare proposals needed for solicitation and personalized materials needed for the recognition and stewardship of donors
  • Participate in professional organizations and local networking opportunities to facilitate professional development
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to team members
  • Provide reports of updates and activities toward development goals to Chief Development Officer

  • Must be flexible in working weekend and evening hours

Education/Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 5 years development or sales experience, 5 preferred
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience with be considered.

Work Environment:

This position works out of our Largo office and in the field, driving to and from community events. This position will be considered for a hybrid remote work schedule upon completion of 90-day probationary period. Attending occasional night or weekend events will be required.
