Summer Captain

Wakesurf Tampa is a private water sports boat charter in Tampa Bay and Clearwater Beach, offering wakeboarding, wakesurfing, foiling, tubing, and more. Charters are customizable for groups up to 20 people, with professional and certified captains providing top-of-the-line wake boat experiences, including life jackets and equipment for all ages. We also offer kids summer camps where we teach kids ages 6-15 how to wakeboard and wake surf in the summer.

Role Description

This is a seasonal (summer) full-time on-site role as a Captain at Wakesurf Tampa in the Greater Tampa Bay Area. The Captain will be responsible for operating the wake boats, ensuring the safety of passengers, providing exceptional customer service, and creating a memorable experience for guests through various water sports activities.

Qualifications

• Boating and Water Sports Experience
• USCG Captain's License (OUPV 6 Pack) and certifications
• Customer Service and Communication skills
• Knowledge of Tampa Bay and Clearwater Beach waterways
• Ability to ensure passenger safety and enjoyment
• Experience in leading and managing water sports activities
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to work well under pressure
• First Aid and CPR certification
